Pentair Everpure PBS-400 Cartridge EV927086 (3,000 gallons)

Full Flow means 2.2 gallons per minute flow rate! That's more than four times the flow rate and more than double the capacity of our traditional drinking water systems. 

The PBS400 is the replacement water filter for the PBS400system.  This cartridge can also be used in place of any of our other Everpure drinking water cartridges, if you are looking for a higher flow rate or more capacity.

If you are currently using an H300, H104 or H54 system, and you would like to switch over to the PBS400, please note the following modification to your filter head. You may have a special fitting on the outlet side of the filter head.  This special fitting was designed to intentionally control the flow of the water at 1/2 a gallon per minute.  If you want to upgrade to the PBS400 water filter then you will want to remove that restrictor fitting and replace with a male connector, part# PI010823S (for ¼” tubing) or PI011223S (for 3/8” tubing).

The PBS400 is third party tested and certified by the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF). This means that the claims that Everpure makes regarding performance and capacity have been tested and certified to be true.  This provides you with peace of mind that what you are buying will deliver on its promise of quality.

The two important standards are #42 and #53:

• NSF standard #42 is for chlorine & particulate reduction. 
• NSF standard #53 is for cyst and lead reduction.  

There is also a built in scale inhibitor to prevent scale from building up in your kettle or coffee brewer.

We recommend changing this water filter annually or when you notice the flow slowing down. Please keep in mind that the PBS400 was designed to fit onto the cold water line of your existing kitchen faucet, which means that all the cold water you use is now being filtered.  

How long the water filter lasts for you depends on your water quality and consumption, both of which are unique to you. Water quality is changing all the time.  Even if you have your water tested, that is just a snapshot on that particular day, so don't be surprised if the frequency of cartridge change fluctuates from one year to the next; this is normal.    

What matters most is knowing that regardless of the water quality going into the water filter, the quality coming out will always be the same.  This is the promise that Everpure delivers on and that is why it is so important to only buy a water filter that is third party tested and certified.
